Sonic: For people who haven’t
heard of you, how would you describe your sound?
Trevor/BTB: It's melodic/alternative hard
rock, but I grew up with more electronic and synthesized sounds like R&B
and Hip-Hop, so we are slowly starting to introduce more of those influences.
We would like to show that we aren't just going to stick to one genre;
ever-expanding our listener range.
Sonic: What can we expect from the
upcoming LP?
Trevor: We will be releasing some dark
rock songs, some dark electronic songs, and we'll be doing some releases
relative to what we've been doing, like our current tracks "To The
Top" and "Swell", which define our current sound. Our hopes are
to make our wide variety of songwriting flow together in a way that makes our
sound acceptable for just about any listener, new and old.
Sonic: What was it like opening up for
Smashing Pumpkins and being on the Warped Tour?
Trevor/: Those were the biggest crowds and biggest
stages yet. It was a trip to say the least. It's hard not to get a little
overwhelmed when you are pulling up next to semi trucks full of equipment. Both
were amazing experiences. We met a ton of great people and had a great time,
although some of our gear got stolen when we opened for Smashing Pumpkins,
which was a little discouraging to say the least. Still totally worth it
though.
Sonic: Can we get a hint as to what the
video for ‘Another Way’ will be like?
Trevor/BTB: I wanted to get shot out of a
cannon, but I don't think the rest of the guys are too comfortable with that.
You can definitely expect high energy. We're going to bring the same fire that
we have during our live performances, so that people all around the world who
can't make it out to our shows, can truly get a feel for what we're about.
Sonic: Any plans to hit UK shores?
Trevor/BTB: We are going be doing our US tour
come late spring of this year. We want to make it to the UK as soon as possible
but as of right now there are no immediate plans to head out of the country.
We'll see what happens after this US run.
Sonic: Finally, who would you really love to tour or work
with?
Trevor: Tough question. I could probably
name a hundred bands that I'd love to tour or work with. A few of them would be
Radiohead, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, Thrice, Drake, Craig David, and Angels and
Airwaves.
